To our lovely followers,
It is with heavy hearts that we tell you that Pins & Needles is no longer a band.
We have been playing shows together for 5+ amazing years after meeting in 2012 at Girls Rock Camp Toronto, but have decided it’s time to evolve individually in new directions.
Pins & Needles spanned our teenage years (14-20), and we’re so grateful that we got to have such a supportive introduction into the music industry at such a young age from so many mentors, parents, friends, and fans ranging from all different walks of life.
We want to thank everyone who came out to shows we played and put on, supported our Indiegogo campaigns, and bought our music and merch over the years for your endless enthusiasm and encouragement to keep creating. Your love has been unparalleled and we would be lucky to receive such invaluable support again in the future.
Ultimately, we hope that Pins & Needles has inspired young women to take up space in male-dominated artistic spaces and attend empowering community organizations like Girls Rock Camp Toronto. We also hope we have encouraged teens to get involved in their local music scene so that their diversity may be reflected in the art Toronto is producing.
We will be throwing a goodbye show on Saturday, January 27th at the Tranzac (where we first met at camp). As per Pins & Needles style, the show will be all-ages and showcase amazing women making music right now!
Please join us in celebrating our legacy, and allow us to thank you one last time in person for your support over the years.
We look forward to showing you what we do individually in the future, but for now, let’s celebrate!
Signed Rebecca Rogers, Deanna Petcoff, Nastasia Pappas-Kemps, and Sabrina Carrizo Sztainbok ✨🔮✨
